The second Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo IV is about to debut, allowing players to test upcoming changes and features for Season 5! The PTR will be open to players with a desktop Battle.net account from June 25th to July 2nd.

The purpose of the PTR is to test updates and features before the release of Season 5. We will adjust Season 5 based on your feedback before its official release to everyone. Your feedback helps us fine-tune balance changes, fix bugs, and create the best experience possible. Having a PTR allows us to test new systems, and we appreciate you taking the time to play the game.

Your experience in the Sanctuary is about to intensify: here's an overview of what you need to know.

New Eternal Questline: Eyes of the Enemy
Season 5 tells a new story where enemies are vanquished, alliances shift, and unexpected allies emerge from the shadows.

The PTR features a new questline that occurs after the main storyline events, accessible in both Seasonal Realms and Eternal Realms, and will continue to be available after Season 5 ends in the Eternal Realm.

Head to the world tier 3 of Harveyz and investigate the unrest among the city residents there. Completing this questline will enable you to battle the Legion of Hellfire, a new gameplay activity for Season 5.

Please note, you only need to complete this questline once on your account.

Slay the Legions of Hell
The Hellish Tide is just the beginning of the terror. In the Realm of Hatred, face increasingly powerful legions of Hellspawn every day.

Legions of Hell is an activity where you can kill demons while earning Burning Aether to unlock powerful weapons and rewards. Upon successfully killing demons, you'll be able to battle the formidable Council of the Fallen.

Enter the Realm of Hatred with the Hell Compass
You can obtain the Hell Compass by defeating the Final Boss, Hell Tide, Nightmare Dungeons, and Whispering Quests.
After completing the latest Eternal Quest, you will receive a Hell Key.

Legions of Hell:
Each attack of the Legions of Hell is time-limited, with a total of eight waves, each lasting 90 seconds.
Collect Burning Aether during an attack of the Legions of Hell and use it at the end of a successful attack.
At the end of 90 seconds, kill the remaining enemies and choose among three Hell prefixes. Once selected, the next attack will begin.
Successfully kill all attacks within the ranks you attempt to enter the Well of Hatred, then battle the Fallen Council. After defeating the Fallen Council, use the Burning Aether obtained to open the Hell loot.

Gifts from Hell:
After defeating each wave of enemies, Hell will tempt you with Hell's gifts.

Hell's gift allows you to choose three different blessings and curses to change your battle. Choose one!
For example: Elite damage increased, increase the number of Burning Aether obtained by killing elites.
Choose wisely—Hell's gift will stack during your Hell's army battle. Many Hell's gifts can be activated at the same time!
Hell's gift is your chance to increase difficulty to earn more Burning Aether, or choose more moderate Hell's gift if the intensity is too great
