Latest News from Public Test Realms

Developer Notes: Thank you to all players who provided various feedback during the Public Test Realm for Season 4: Rebirth of Loot. The following focuses on key bug fixes and adjustments based on player feedback.

**Feature Updates**

- Masterworks no longer fail.
- Removed non-milestone level Masterwork animations (Levels 1-3, 5-7, etc.).
- The Reforge results screen now displays attribute results, rolled values, and attribute ranges.
- Various UI improvements for Reforging and Masterwork experiences.
- Added several Masterwork Material Box tiers, significantly increasing convertible materials.
- Added visual indicators in the Engravings UI to denote Legendary attributes on equipment.
- It is now possible to search for "equipped" or "in equipment" in the Codex to list attributes on equipped items.
- Added inventory icons to denote items with at least one powerful attribute.
- Items that drop with powerful attributes will now also display the icon indicating they have powerful attributes.

**Helltide and Abyssal Pits**

- Teams spending Rune Fragments to open Abyssal Pits will receive 100% Masterwork materials, while other team members will receive half the amount of materials.
- Helltide no longer generates Bombardment and Shockwave altars in Abyssal Pits.
- Increased the spawn rate of Demons in Helltide areas.
- Adjusted the drop rate of Heart of Havoc to make it more consistent.
- Improved overall loot quality for Blood Mistress.

**Prophet Changes**

- Previously dropped a Prophet's Chest upon defeat, now drops contents of the Prophet's Chest upon death without requiring additional embers.

**Balance Adjustments**

- Many excessively strong or weak Reforging attributes have been adjusted to align with intended strength.
- Maximum size Reforging attributes for effects and skills (such as Gale Force or [Bone Spirit]) have been increased, with a new limit of 100%.

**Item Design Updates**

- Essential Essences will update in the Codex. All Essences will now appear in the Codex.
- Various item attributes have been updated and streamlined in the overall attribute library. Additionally, powerful attributes have been introduced.
- This enhanced version of general attributes (1.5x) will only appear on Ancient Legendary and Primal items.
- In World Tier IV, each item attribute has a chance to become a powerful attribute.

**New Reforging and Masterwork System allows for deeper customization and acquisition of new attributes for items.**

- Legendary items dropped by level 95+ enemies are guaranteed to be 925-item strength.
- Primal items now drop in the early game:
- World Tier III Primal items now drop in World Tiers I and II in non-sacred form.
- World Tier IV Primal items now drop in World Tier III in sacred form.
- Super Primal items will drop from level 55 monsters, with item strength at 925.

**Minimum level requirements for Sacred and Ancestral items have been reduced.**

**Assistive Tools**

**New Character Lighting**

We have added display options to illuminate non-player characters, player characters, and enemies within Sanctuary, even in vastly different environments, for easy identification.

- Standard Lighting: Sets the lighting in the game to emphasize the darkness and danger that should be present in the Sanctuary world.
- Additional Lighting: Greatly increases the contrast display of characters in the game. Intensity and hue can be adjusted through in-game options.

**Helltide Rebirth**

Update Helltide to bring more challenges and rewards.

**Helltide Threats**

As players battle through Helltide, threats will gradually increase. Specific numbers depend on monster difficulty and frequency of acquiring Torment Gifts in Helltide.
There are three levels of Helltide threats, each increasing the danger and frequency of monster attacks. By the third level, you will be marked with a Helltide.

Reaching the threat limit triggers a brief maximum-density enemy onslaught. The final onslaught will spawn a Demon, a Hell Sentinel born from the tortured souls of Sanctuary's strongest fighters. They come in five variants, each representing a class in Diablo IV.

Upon triggering a Demon onslaught, your threat will reset.
Player death also resets the threat.
Curse Rituals

The Heart of Havoc can be obtained primarily by opening Torment Gifts and can also drop from:
- Demons of Havoc
- Prophets

Curse rituals are extremely bloody and brutal, representing the ultimate descent into darkness for Hell followers. It is also where you can perform curse rituals.
Place three Hearts of Havoc to start the ritual, then players will face demons swarming in. Other players in the same sub-area will be warned when the ritual begins and decide whether to assist you in battle.
The onslaught peaks with the appearance of Blood Mistress. Killing this powerful demon will yield great rewards.
World Tier I and II Adjustments

Released Helltide versions for World Tiers I and II, with the following adjustments:

- All Torment Gifts are mystery boxes.
- No wandering bosses.
- Adjusted monster density to match the expected difficulty of World Tiers III and IV.

- Yen's Blessing - Primal Boots

Skills have a 40-60% 20-30% chance to cast non-movement, non-ultimate skills currently in cooldown. This effect can only be triggered once every 8 12 seconds.

**Legendary Powers**

- Power of Frosty Stride

When health is below 45-60%, evasion will freeze nearby enemies, dealing frost damage and making them vulnerable for 3 seconds.

- Shock Strike Power

Lucky strike: There is a maximum 20% chance to stun enemies, lasting 2 seconds. You deal 5-20% more damage to stunned enemies.

**Barbarian**

**Aristocratic Pose - Primal Pants**

Your summoned ancestors are enhanced.

- When Colic Tengjingshen leaps, the ground trembles and causes physical damage within 4 seconds.

- Talik's Whirlwind Slash leaves behind a sandstorm and causes damage.

- Madoc's Rock Sandblast ignites the ground to burn enemies for additional damage within 4 seconds.

**Double Click - Primal Gloves**

After casting [Double Sweep] four times, your next [Double Sweep] will hit twice, each dealing 10-25% damage.

**Legendary Power**

- Essence of Wild Hurricane

Your roar skill will produce 3-5 gusts of sand, causing damage to enemies on the path.

- Your sandstorm grows by 5%-20% 15%, and each increase of 1% increases damage by 1%.

**Druid**

**Fissure - Primal Ring**

[Landslide] causes the ground to erupt with crustal spikes, causing 0.6-0.9 points of damage over 2 seconds. Casting [Landslide] in this area has a 20-30% chance to generate [Landslide] columns.
